The Angel, Hetton, Yorkshire
Lunch in this celebrated gastro-pub in a Yorkshire village. Two starters - excellent fish soup then their own black pudding. Excellent, along with the local pale ale. If it wasn't so far away, we'd be back there for dinner.
i orderd rib eye steak wich looked to be 4oz and was basicly a lump of fat with warmed up patatos and hardly eny gravy at £18.75 is a disgrace i dont mind paying a bit more if the foods good and plenty of it here are some more examples of the angel at hettons rip offs scotch egg £6.25 beef sandwich £795 4 cookies £2.50 3 scoops of ice cream £5.55 summer pudding £6.25 this place is a compleat joke and not a funny one
Fresh Fish Soup, Little gem seafood Parcels, Belly Pork with homemade black Pudding local Lamb, cassoulets, fresh ingredients to die for, served up lovingly by the "Watkins" for over a decade. I have been a local diner here for all of that time [I LIVE IN lEEDS] worth the trip everytime. Ian Wallace obviously doesn't get out much. John Rush.
